一、英语形容词转译成动词
在英语句子中，表示知觉、情欲、欲望等心理状态的形容词，在联系动词后面作 表语时，往往可以转译成动词。常见的这类形容词有：able, afraid，angry，anxious， ashamed, aware, careful, cautious, certain, concerned，confident, delighted，doubtful， glad，grateful，ignorant，sorry，sure，thankful 等。
1)Doctors have said that they are not sare they can save his life?医生们说，他们不敢 肯定能否救得了他的命。
2)Scientists are confident that all matter is indestructible.科学家们深信，所有物质都是不灭的。
3)If extremely low-cost power were ever to become available from large nuclear power plants, electrolytic hydrogen would become competitive.如果能从大型核电站获得成本极 低的电力，电解氢的竞争力就会增强。
4)The fact that she was able to send a message was a hint. But I had to be cautious.她 能够给我带个信儿这件事就是个暗示。但是我必须小心谨慎。
5)A socially mature person gets along well with all types of people in all types of situa?tion. 二、英语形容词转译成名词
在英语句子中，有些形容词加上定冠词表示某一类人，翻译时常变成名词；另外， 还可视具体情况将其他一些形容词译成名词，翻译公司工作中经常可以运用到。
1) They did their best to helpand 如?他们尽了最大努力帮助病号和伤员。
1)This problem is no more important than that one.这个问题的重要性不亚于那个问 题。
3 ) Robin Hood and his merry men hated the rich and loved and protected the poor.罗宾 汉和他可爱的伙伴们痛恨阔人，热爱并保护穷人。
4)Steven was eloquent and elegant - but soft.史蒂夫有 口才、有风度，但很软弱。
5)Television is different from radio in that it sends and receives a picture.电视与无线 电的区别在于电视发送和接收的是图像。
三、英语形容词转译成副词
英语名词转译为动词的时候，修饰该名词的形容词往往转译为相应的副词。
1)We have made a careful study of the properties of these chemical elements.我们仔细 研究了这些化学元素的特性。
2)Can you give an accurate translation of the sentence?你能确切地把这句话翻译出来3)We must make full use of the iiiilm al resources available.我们应当充分利用现有白勺 自然资源。
4)This is sheer nonsense.这羞金是胡说八道。
